Practical books.
Traditional skills.
Leigh Robinson writes about family bushcraft, traditional carving and friction fire.

Learning the skills. Sharing the lessons.
Leigh Robinson draws on practical bushcraft experience, teaching and time outdoors with his own children. His books bring together the details he wanted when learning: how to choose materials, follow the process and understand what went wrong.
In the preface to The Bow Drill Bible, he recalls early attempts that produced smoke but no ember. In Spoon Carving, his first spoon becomes a lesson in removing too much wood. These experiences run through the books: patient practice, careful observation and useful guidance for the next attempt.
“I want to give you the confidence to get outdoors and discover bushcraft with the children in your lives.”
Leigh Robinson · Bushcraft with Kids, preface
Seven books. Three areas to explore.
The books cover outdoor learning with children, carving useful objects from wood and understanding friction fire.
Bushcraft with Kids is written for parents and teachers. Its two volumes cover foundational topics and a wider range of outdoor skills, with a combined edition for readers who want both together.
The carving books focus on spoons and kuksa cups, using projects, photographs and templates to make the process easier to follow.
The Bow Drill Bible and The Hand Drill Bible each explore a method of friction fire, including materials, technique, supporting fire skills and troubleshooting.
